A highlight of the event was the Celebration Zone, a pavilion for popular family attractions and entertainment.

OBJECTIVE

Lord Cultural Resources (LCR), a firm that works with cultural heritage organizations to help them drive social mobility, wanted to shine a spotlight cultural tourism. Their goal was to create an immersive, fun and, importantly, an accessible experience for visitors to the Celebration Zone; ultimately, to help increase Toronto's cultural capital both at home and abroad.

SOLUTION

Embreate produced a Kinect-based all-ages themed attraction called Bravetail.

Bravetail merged iconic Canadiana with popular culture and sport to create a compelling novelty experience inside the outdoor tent during the two week event.

This family-friendly installation attracted participants from all over the world.

GAMEPLAY

Bravetail the Beaver’s goal was to extinguish man-made forest fires before they got out of control.

Players navigated the experience using motion sensor technology to shoot water arrows into the bush and put the fires out.
