Embreate is calling out for interested Canadian comedians to work with us and share their personal stories and experiences with mental health challenges, and how comedy plays a part. Our goal is that "Are you Nuts?" will play a key role in reducing the stigma associated with mental illness by normalizing the discussion around it. By spotlighting the struggles/strategies of public personas dealing with mental health challenges we aim to make conversations relatable and accessible to everyday people who are also struggling and who feel alone.
It's the World Series, 1993, in Toronto, game 6 bottom of the 9th, and Joe Carter hits a home run. Home team sports fans go NUTS! Richard Garner, propelled by a rush of adrenaline, leaps over the fence and starts running the bases to high five Joe Carter. We made a game about it. Play High Five Joe Carter on Android and let us know on Twitter if you make it to Level 8! You can watch Richard tell the story first-hand at canadascampfire.ca.
